The thermometer features an easy to read LCD display showing the current meat temperature, the meat selection, preference and set temperature. The stainless steel meat probe will not add any residual taste to the meal and acts as an instant read thermometer. The probe can be left in the food while it cooks in the oven, so that you do not have to keep checking your food, and an alarm sounds when the desired temperature is reached. Unit has a wide variety of settings and uses two AAA batteries (not included).
