Take your wood-fired cooking skills to the next level with the Pro series from Traeger. Featuring a traditional look, stainless steel side tables and enclosed storage space, the Traeger Select Pro Grill combines style with functionality. This grill body is constructed of powder coated steel with a blue finish and boasts 36,000 BTUs of cooking power. The main grilling rack is 31 X 19 inches of porcelain coated grilling surface accompanied by a 31 X 7 inch extra grill rack for a total grilling area of 806 square inches, letting you cook a full meal all at one time. The versatility of this pellet grill allows you to smoke at temperatures as low as 180 degrees and then crank it up to 450 degrees to sear to perfection. The natural airflow inside of the grill allows for convection cooking, so you can bake a pizza right on your grill and do not have to turn your meat, unless cooking with high temperatures or if you want even grill marks. The Digital Pro controller displays the temperature inside the grill on the bright blue LED panel and is monitored by a resistance temperature detector (RTD) probe which takes 60 readings per minute to maintain the preset temperatures within 15 degrees. Dual meat probes give you perfect temperature readings on two items at once. Traeger grills feature an auto-start system that is simple and safe to use. When you turn on the grill, the auger begins to feed pellets into the firepot while the draft induction fan feeds air into it. The igniter rod is activated and glows red hot for the first four minutes to ignite the pellets in the firepot. These cost-effective pellets burn at a rate of only 2 lbs per hour on high heat, 1 lb per hour on medium heat and only 1/2 lb per hour when smoking. This energy efficient grill runs off of a standard 110 volt outlet.

| Pro Pellet grillAwesome grill!!! The more I use it the better I love it. Beef and venison jerky..tried about five different receipts all turned out great... Baked meatloaf really good flavor... Grilled salmon on cedar plank and grilled till 140° best tasting ever... Sweet smoked salmon as good if not the best I've ever eaten. Smoked whole turkey moist and delicious... Grilled pork chops... excellent!!!! Grilled chicken breast with Traeger seasoning...best ever!! ****Using the temperature probe makes everything turn out excellent! Things We Love:
Traeger Select pellet grills are user-friendly, affordable and attractive, bringing a classic grill design to a pellet grill. The Select body and hood is made of cold-rolled, powder coated steel, and also features stainless steel shelving and trim. The Select is offered in two series, Pro and Elite.
The hopper is able to hold up to 18 pounds of pellets, which will allow you to grill and smoke longer than you'll probably ever need to. Located on the hopper, is the digital control panel, featuring a bright blue LED display and simple temperature control knob. The auto-start system allows to simply flip the power button to “on”, set the dial to your desired temperature, and walk away.
Utilizing the classic gas grill design and exhaust, this grill tends to spread heat more evenly across the grilling surface than barrel style pellet grills, making for less hot and cold spots. On top of that, the stainless steel trim and stamped Traeger logo, colored hood make this grill one of the best-looking pellet grills on the market.
While the Select Pro and Elite series look like the same grill, the Select Pro offers a few upgrades, and since they're the same price, I really recommend the Pro every time. First, the Select Pro includes a removable warming rack, giving you a much more generous grilling area, with 806 square inches of porcelain coated grilling grates. The Select Pro comes with a built-in dual-probe thermometer that allows you to monitor the temperature of two different types of meat at once on the grill. Inside the grill, the temperature is constantly monitored by Traeger's best controller that keeps the set cooking temperature within +/- 15 degrees at all times while cooking.
Things To Consider:
While Traeger will definitely get the job done when it comes to cooking, their grills maximum temperature is 450 degrees, while other brands can get as high as 700 degrees.
