Just put it together, Excited to see what it does!

Wasn't the easiest to build, very heavy construction but everything could be found in the boxes and the directions on how to build it made it very easy to use. I personally am impressed by the craftsmanship on this smoker. After having come from a traeger grill and wanting to try something new, I can sincerely say that I can feel the difference in build. Hoping for a good return on investment with my cooking, but we'll see what happens! This was a birthday gift from my son!

Simple to use, great size

Debated on what features to get, went with simple-- no wifi. Thought about getting the black label model for a little more $$$, but figured for my first pellet grill, this one is large and simple and easy to use, although I would like some of the enhanced features. Assembly took a bit longer than I wanted, but wasn't too hard. Its a bit heavy, so moving it across the lawn to the backyard was not easy. Definitely glad it has a front shelf and cover. Currently have an open case-- The finish has a couple blemishes due to the packaging, the lid does not fit flush, and the shelf doesn't operate correctly. Regarding the bottom shelf, I think I mounted it upside down as it made more sense to keep things from rolling off the shelf when moving around-- WORKS GREAT! I store the shelf, grill scraper, extension cord, etc. down there sometimes. I've only had it a short time, and not to brag ;), but I've already made the best brisket I've ever had. I look forward to many easy grilling days. Tired of the days of getting the charcoal going... now I can be like propane/natural gas and be up and running quickly...

Excellent smoker and great value.

I bought the LG900C2 pellet grill at Costco for a very good price to replace my charcoal smoker because I got tired of having to constantly monitor and adjust the vents to keep the smoking temperature right. The LG900C2 pellet grill does that all automatically for me now and maintains the set grill temperature very well; I've smoked brisket and pork shoulders for 8-10 hours and it's easy as pie. Using the programmable meat probe is easy and the controller will turn the heat to the 180 degree minimum when the probe temp set point is reached. I like the flame broiler feature also because I use the sous vide method to cook steaks to medium rare and, to get the right texture, you need to quickly char them over very high heat. I'm anxious to try that on this grill, as I expect it will do a much better job than my gas grill can. I've tried several brands and types of pellets and have found that how fast they burn and how much smoke they produce varies, so if you don't like one, try another. There's a grate in the top of the hopper that I removed so that I can take out the pellets if I want to switch type. If you plan to smoke a lot of big items, I'd recommend getting the hopper extension if you want to be 100% sure you won't have to constantly check to see if you need to refill with pellets. The grill was very easy to assemble (you do need two people to lift the main barrel), once I got past the fact that one of the leg sockets was bent and had to be bent back in order to be able to get the leg in. I was disappointed when I fired it up the first time and it wouldn't heat up past 200 degrees though. I determined that the auger that shoves the pellets in wasn't turning and it seemed that the whole motor/auger assembly was loose. I was able to take the assembly apart and then reassemble and reinstall it, and now it works like a charm. I don't think that it was a manufacturing problem, quite frankly I think it was dropped during shipment. The grill and packing material is very heavy. Bottom line, I'm very pleased with the LG900C2 and think it provides great performance and bang for the buck, as it comes complete with a cover and front shelf. If you love to smoke meat like I do and don't want to spend a ton of money, it's just what the pit master ordered!

Great grill! Lots of options! Only One Complaint

I won this unit in a draw...that is a bonus. :) I have done so much with the unit in the first year I've had it, right down to the Christmas Turkey!! Amazing! My only real complaint is from the cleaning process, I followed the instructions in the manual and heated the grill for the high temperature burn off, and the paint peeled off in spots on the front and top. Very disappointed by this. It didn't even reach the set temp and I clean the unit out of dust and clean the racks before each and every cook.

Awful

I've owned the smoker about 2 years and it's been nothing but issues. Digital board has went out 3 times and when they send me a new one it takes 8 weeks! This smoker had ruined countless BBQ by parts going bad in it. It's always been covered and cleaned after every use so it's not a maintenance issue. It's embarrassing when you plan a BBQ for 20 people and the smoker quits working and you end up having to cancel on everyone. Or it ruins the food your cooking by not holding temp ect. I will never buy another one again. Twbbile product and terrible service one replacment parts or trouble shooting.

When will my item arrive?

Once shipped, items usually arrive within 3-5 business days. While UPS and FedEx are our carriers for smaller items, be aware that larger items and orders are shipped via freight. The freight process is a bit more complicated than what we’ve all come to expect for small parcels, so it’s important that you’re prepared and understand what’s required of you well before delivery day.

  • Most freight products ship on a pallet
  • Some carriers will call to schedule a delivery window, while others will deliver the shipment to a reasonably accessible location closest to your residence (their goal is to deliver as near a garage door as they can).
  • We’ll specify which process you can expect in your shipping confirmation email.

For carriers that schedule delivery appointments:

Carriers that schedule delivery appointments require you to be home for delivery and provide your signature. The delivery is made with a semi-truck with lift gate services, and the shipment is dropped off at the curb. If you authorize the shipping company to leave the delivery without a signature, BBQGuys can’t be held responsible for damages that occur during delivery. As complicated as this process may seem, we’ve only scratched the surface here — please review our detailed guide to freight delivery so there are no surprises when a freight shipment heads your way.

For carriers that deliver without an appointment:

Carriers that deliver without an appointment don’t require you to be home or set up a delivery window, and you aren’t required to sign for the pallet(s). Instead of scheduling an appointment, arranging your schedule to be home for the delivery, and signing to confirm receipt, you can sit back and let your items come to you. If you’re home at the time of the drop-off, you can request the driver place your delivery in the garage; if you’re out of the house, the driver will leave it near the garage or doorstep.
