The Skinny:

  • More energy-efficient than gas heaters
  • Multiple installation options so you can place it wherever you like
  • Uses infrared radiant heat to warm people instead of the surrounding air
  • Proudly made in the USA

Things We Love:

Energy-efficient and Environmentally Friendly

Not all heat is created equal. Infratech WD-Series electric patio heaters are a great example of that, using extremely efficient heating that provides both lasting warmth and minimal damage to the environment. On top of converting more energy into heat than their gas counterparts and being mostly unaffected by wind, these electric models produce zero greenhouse emissions or ultraviolet light. They’re even constructed with recyclable materials for true eco-friendliness!

Attractive & Durable Construction

The Infratech WD-Series pairs high-tech heating capabilities with 304-grade stainless steel construction for exceptional durability. These models also lend a desirable design element to your space — they emit medium-wave heat that gives off a pleasant glow rather than a harsh, white-light glare. You can choose to place them just about anywhere, too, thanks to their low profile and multiple mounting options that include wall, ceiling, and pole configurations. Infratech lets you further customize your unit by picking from three sizes, four wattage options, and seven different colors for a completely integrated look in your outdoor space. Best of all, there’s no odor or noise to distract you from enjoying the pleasing warmth and aesthetics of your patio heater.

More Heat Where You Need It

Let’s get down to what makes the WD-Series such a powerhouse in the heating industry: deep, meaningful warmth in all the right places. To achieve this, these units use infrared heat that travels in waves until it encounters an object or person. This allows heat to reach people and things that matter instead of simply warming the surrounding air, which can then be blown away by the wind. WD-Series patio heaters double down on this method with dual heating elements that concentrate heat in large areas. As a bonus, they’re UL-listed for indoor and outdoor use so you can stay warm no matter where you are.

Things To Consider:

Heat area differs depending on the size of the unit, so you should always measure the space you want to heat before deciding on a model. Also keep in mind that a professional electrician is required for installation of all Infratech WD-Series heaters. If you need help deciding which model is right for you or have any questions about outdoor patio heaters, check out our Free Outdoor Living Design Service or call one of our experts today at 1-877-743-2269!

Question:
Can this be wired to plug into a NEMA 6-50 plug? I'd rather not run another 240V line. If I can switch the plugs out with my car charger that would be much cheaper!
Was This Helpful?
Answer:
Hi there! Based on the manual, this unit must be permanently hardwired by a licensed electrician. I would suggest contacting your local electrician and asking them based on your local codes. Here is the manual if you need it to reference: bit.ly/3ns2AyV. Give us a call at 877-743-2269 if you have any further questions!

Question:
Does this dual element 6,000 Watt heater require 1 25 Amp circuit or 2 15 Amp circuits? How many conductors are in the junction box of the unit. Do I need 1 switch or two to control it?
Was This Helpful?
Answer:
Hi there! Usually one 30 amp breaker would be used for this heater. There are four wires in the back of the heater, one to each end of each element. You may use one or two switches to control it, using two switches would give the half-power option. Hope this helps! Give us a call at 877-743-2269 if you have any further questions!

Asked by SparkyAnswered by Tiffany, BBQGuys Expert

Answer:
Not sure on the circuits...you can do one or two switches but two is worth the extra money so you can run one or both elements...essentially high or low...I use low often

Question:
Does this come smart home ready? Can it work with Google home? Or what type of control does it come with?
Was This Helpful?
Answer:
Hi Liz! This item is not smart ready. It does not come with a control, it is to be installed as hardwired so you can connect to a switch. You can also connect to a duplex switch for a half power option.

Question:
Can this heater be mounted on a wood patio ceiling?
Was This Helpful?
Answer:
Hey JM, Infratech WD series heaters can indeed be mounted to a wooden patio ceiling. The included mounting brackets provide the required clearance from the ceiling when installing. When will my item arrive?

Once shipped, items usually arrive within 3-5 business days. While UPS and FedEx are our carriers for smaller items, be aware that larger items and orders are shipped via freight. The freight process is a bit more complicated than what we’ve all come to expect for small parcels, so it’s important that you’re prepared and understand what’s required of you well before delivery day.

  • Most freight products ship on a pallet
  • Some carriers will call to schedule a delivery window, while others will deliver the shipment to a reasonably accessible location closest to your residence (their goal is to deliver as near a garage door as they can).
  • We’ll specify which process you can expect in your shipping confirmation email.

For carriers that schedule delivery appointments:

Carriers that schedule delivery appointments require you to be home for delivery and provide your signature. The delivery is made with a semi-truck with lift gate services, and the shipment is dropped off at the curb. If you authorize the shipping company to leave the delivery without a signature, BBQGuys can’t be held responsible for damages that occur during delivery. As complicated as this process may seem, we’ve only scratched the surface here — please review our detailed guide to freight delivery so there are no surprises when a freight shipment heads your way.

For carriers that deliver without an appointment:

Carriers that deliver without an appointment don’t require you to be home or set up a delivery window, and you aren’t required to sign for the pallet(s). Instead of scheduling an appointment, arranging your schedule to be home for the delivery, and signing to confirm receipt, you can sit back and let your items come to you. If you’re home at the time of the drop-off, you can request the driver place your delivery in the garage; if you’re out of the house, the driver will leave it near the garage or doorstep.
