Featuring a modern re-imagining on the traditional brick oven, the Mangiafuoco pizza oven is an update over the Margherita oven and mixes efficiency and incredible speed with the authenticity of old world Italian cooking. With a 32-inch by 32-inch cooking surface, the Mangiafuoco features a larger cooking area than the Margherita and maintains a cold exterior that is touch-safe. Built inside and out with the 304 stainless steel, these ovens heat to temperature in an incredible 10-15 minutes, as seen in the Forno Toscano Oven Overview video. This oven works more like a traditional brick oven, where the fire is placed directly within the oven and kept to the side with a wood holder. Cook directly on the food grade cooking stone to obtain incredibly crispy brick oven crust. The insulating refractory brick layer beneath the cooking stone provides superior heat retention and will not break down over time. Two-slide-out handles and bottom caster wheels allow mobility for exact placement to your needs. For over forty years, all Fontana Forni products have been created at home in Italy with in-house metal fabrication for impeccable quality and attention to standards. The Forno Toscano series from Fontana Forni offers a beautiful, modern version of the traditional brick oven, allowing you to cook perfect, Italian-style pizza in your own backyard. In the past, owning a pizza oven required a major backyard DIY project to brick-in a permanent oven into your space, but the Forno Toscano arrives fully assembled (except for the cart) and is completely portable with slide-out handles and wheels, allowing you to move it around like a wheelbarrow. But don't think you have to sacrifice insulation for portability, as the Forno Toscano has a full 12 centimeters of natural rock-spun wool insulation surrounding the 3-millimeter-thick stainless steel cooking chamber, for maximum heat retention and cooking efficiency. The oven floor is made of two layers of brick, a refractory brick insulator and then the cooking stone on top. I really like that this oven heats up quick for cooking in under 15 minutes and has a damper control for complete combustion. They are backed by a 4 year warranty, which is a solid warranty in the pizza oven industry.

It's important to consider the fact that cooking with traditional wood-fired pizza ovens requires more attention than the alternatives. Pizza ovens with gas valve controls or adjustable air intakes allow you to control the temperature with ease and simplicity, while wood-fired pizza ovens require more dedication to get the temperature exactly where you want it.
