Arcadia Outdoor Kitchens combines current home decor trends with options for every budget, resulting in an impressive portfolio of outdoor kitchens guaranteed to inspire. Based in Jacksonville, Florida, Arcadia Outdoor Kitchens serves the Sunshine State from the Emerald Coast all the way down the tropical breezes of the Florida Keys. While the surface designs in each outdoor kitchen change to reflect individual homeowner’s personal preferences, the quality construction underneath remains consistent. For example, Arcadia's BBQ islands are built on a frame of commercial-grade, welded 1-inch square steel tubes with galvanized, rust-proof coating. Finished frames are covered with HardiBacker cement board, and all corners and seams are taped with waterproof fiberglass tape. The plaster process begins with a base coat layer and is finished with a waterproof acrylic hand-troweled for a custom-finished look.

Bold is the New Neutral
The all-white kitchen ruled during the 2010s. As a new decade dawns, the home decor pendulum begins its inevitable swing away from greyish, neutral colors paired with muted motifs toward rich colors with brave layers of patterns. The playful blue and turquoise accent wall in this outdoor kitchen boldly embraces both color and pattern. The woven bar stools, BBQ island siding, countertops, and floor all provide additional layers of varying patterns. The result is energetic and inviting — this is a place designed for fun!

Natural Textures
The ivy-covered walls in this outdoor kitchen are evocative of the environmentally friendly living-wall trend. When placed within a border of privacy hedges, the walls literally fade into the background. Inside the covered space, cedar-hued wood planks line the galley-style island counters. Bar stools with hand-carved wooden seats and elegant wire legs evoke a subtly modern, organic atmosphere. Combined, these natural and organic elements create a welcoming outdoor room that hints at the growing biophilic trend.

Classic Navy
Some of the most popular colors are found splashed across kitchen cabinets in stylish homes, but this is one the first examples we’ve seen of a homeowner bringing the trend outdoors. The navy backsplash matches the padded sling barstools, dining chairs, cushions in the deep seating set, and a large market umbrella. Everything else in this outdoor living room, however, is pristine white. The contrast between deeply saturated blue and cool white creates a formal and sophisticated outdoor space.

Minimalist Simplicity
On the design spectrum, the established Minimalist trend sits opposite the emerging Maximalist trend. The Minimalist style is identifiable by its emphasis on clean straight lines, flat color, and smooth textures. The combination of concrete countertops and stainless steel appliances are classic industrial-inspired design choices for minimalist spaces, but in these two outdoor kitchens, it’s the linear backwall that heightens the style. In the first kitchen, the long horizontal shapes, repeated in fence slats and concrete pavers, create a quiet serenity. The second kitchen, meanwhile, uses barstools to add a fun, contrasting color and organic texture.
