Similar to the quality found in all other ATN scopes, the NVWSMRS6H0 uses only the purest grades of heavy glass and computer-aided optical designs to create multi-element, multi-coated, high-speed lenses that provide ultra-fast light transmission and resolution beyond current military standards. The 4X magnification optical lenses are individually fitted and calibrated for top-quality performance, and the process of nitrogen-purging provides superior internal fogging resistance. This unit is water resistant and submersible up to 66 feet for 1 hour, and the precision windage and elevation tuning allow for reliably consistent results. This device easily mounts onto any U. S. Standard 7/8-inch weaver or Picatinny rail for up to 55 hours of use with a 3V battery, making it a versatile investment in low-cost 1st generation night vision technology. The MARS6X uses HPT IIT generation night vision technology. The generation of a night vision device stands for what type of image intensifier tube is used for that particular device. The image intensifier tube is the heart and soul of any night vision device. HPT IIT is a step up from CGT IIT generation units, with a high performance intensifier tube that increases the sensitivity and resolution to produce better image clarity and brightness equivalent to standard 3rd generation devices.
