Traeger is the only way to grill...

I've had this Select Pro for several years and never had an issue with it. My family and guest love the selections of meat, fish, poultry, etc I grill on it. Great addition to my outdoor kitchen.

Excellent Grill!

We bought our Traeger Select Pro Wood Pellet Grill in 2017. It has been the best grill we have ever owned. Consistency like no other!

Very happy!

I have had a traeger select pro bronze since 2001 according to the serial number the only problems I have ever had I should have prevented, chewed wires wet pellets. And replaced 1 hot rod about three years ago, this is my third traeger gill going back to 1988 or 1989 the first one I bought is still running I gave it to a neighbor. I think if you take time to learn how they operate they are the finest pellet grill made. I have friends with other brands and you could write book about them.

Love how it holds the temp

We originally had the Traeger Silverton. Well I did OK for our family there was nothing spectacular about it. I found that it had a hard time keeping an even temperature. We ended up getting the Traeger bronze select pro and even in -8°C it is able to maintain a Consistent temperature. I also find food cooks amazing evenly which again I didn't find to be the case one Silverton. Love my Traeger Bronze Select Pro product and would recommend it to anyone!

My family loves everything I cook on my Select

I've had my Traeger Select Pro since the spring. It's nearly winter now and I'm still smoking and grilling often with it. While I'm a bit disappointed in the availability of drip trays for it, I'm in love with the thing. Awesome results every time, whether grilling or smoking.

Best grill ever

After a little bit of a rocky start because the start up instructions were misleading on how hot the "Hot Rod" needed to get, the problem was resolved and I started using it. I did our Thanksgiving Turkey and it was so easy, I took credit but it was all the grill. I bought it at Costco for less than the regular Traeger Price for a Select Pro Pellet Grill.

great smoker and very good grill

I replaced my propane weber with the traeger and I am very happy i did pellets are slower cookers and you can not seer however they also do not dry meat out and thus meats are more tender and flavorful. Moreover the T is great for Turkeys and baking so during holidays its like having another oven

9+ years and still going...

Bought a BBQ400 9 years ago and have only had to replace the hot rod once. It does a great job with ribs, salmon, chicken and I've done three Thanksgiving turkeys on it. I still use my Weber to sear tri-tip and butterflied lamb since the high heat you need for those needs a more direct flame, but after searing both sides the Traegar does a great job of finishing those. The reason for four stars is that it never really seems to get over 400 (but not that I cook a lot at the temperature). For over 400 degrees: Weber gas grill

Cooks well but loses heat quickly in cold weather

We have owned this grill for about 3.5 years (purchased mid 2019). We love the way it cooks and it is quite simple to use and to clean. What we do not like is that there is no thermal cover for it. Here in the Minnesota weather, we really need that to cook a turkey on Thanksgiving with limited loss of heat. The cold weather slows the cooking down due to heat dissipation from the pit through the cover. Why is there no accessory for this pellet grill to keep the heat in the unit?

The Skinny:

  • The original wood-fired pellet grill brand
  • Dual probe meat thermometers (Pro Series only)
  • Fully-enclosed storage cart
  • Large capacity hopper
  • Convenient grease management system
  • Stainless steel shelves.

Things We Love:

Traeger Select pellet grills are user-friendly, affordable and attractive, bringing a classic grill design to a pellet grill. The Select body and hood is made of cold-rolled, powder coated steel, and also features stainless steel shelving and trim. The Select is offered in two series, Pro and Elite.

The hopper is able to hold up to 18 pounds of pellets, which will allow you to grill and smoke longer than you'll probably ever need to. Located on the hopper, is the digital control panel, featuring a bright blue LED display and simple temperature control knob. The auto-start system allows to simply flip the power button to “on”, set the dial to your desired temperature, and walk away.

Utilizing the classic gas grill design and exhaust, this grill tends to spread heat more evenly across the grilling surface than barrel style pellet grills, making for less hot and cold spots. On top of that, the stainless steel trim and stamped Traeger logo, colored hood make this grill one of the best-looking pellet grills on the market.

While the Select Pro and Elite series look like the same grill, the Select Pro offers a few upgrades, and since they're the same price, I really recommend the Pro every time. First, the Select Pro includes a removable warming rack, giving you a much more generous grilling area, with 806 square inches of porcelain coated grilling grates. The Select Pro comes with a built-in dual-probe thermometer that allows you to monitor the temperature of two different types of meat at once on the grill. Inside the grill, the temperature is constantly monitored by Traeger's best controller that keeps the set cooking temperature within +/- 15 degrees at all times while cooking.

Things To Consider:

While Traeger will definitely get the job done when it comes to cooking, their grills maximum temperature is 450 degrees, while other brands can get as high as 700 degrees.

You'll Like This Grill If:

You want that trusted Traeger name and like the gas grill styling over the old barrel smoker look.

Free Shipping on orders over $49

Ship your entire order to your home for free, especially the big stuff! *Continental US only

When will my item arrive?

Once shipped, items usually arrive within 3-5 business days. While UPS and FedEx are our carriers for smaller items, be aware that larger items and orders are shipped via freight. The freight process is a bit more complicated than what we’ve all come to expect for small parcels, so it’s important that you’re prepared and understand what’s required of you well before delivery day.

  • Most freight products ship on a pallet
  • Some carriers will call to schedule a delivery window, while others will deliver the shipment to a reasonably accessible location closest to your residence (their goal is to deliver as near a garage door as they can).
  • We’ll specify which process you can expect in your shipping confirmation email.

For carriers that schedule delivery appointments:

Carriers that schedule delivery appointments require you to be home for delivery and provide your signature. The delivery is made with a semi-truck with lift gate services, and the shipment is dropped off at the curb. If you authorize the shipping company to leave the delivery without a signature, BBQGuys can’t be held responsible for damages that occur during delivery. As complicated as this process may seem, we’ve only scratched the surface here — please review our detailed guide to freight delivery so there are no surprises when a freight shipment heads your way.

For carriers that deliver without an appointment:

Carriers that deliver without an appointment don’t require you to be home or set up a delivery window, and you aren’t required to sign for the pallet(s). Instead of scheduling an appointment, arranging your schedule to be home for the delivery, and signing to confirm receipt, you can sit back and let your items come to you. If you’re home at the time of the drop-off, you can request the driver place your delivery in the garage; if you’re out of the house, the driver will leave it near the garage or doorstep.
